The charge controller controls the charging of the supercapacitor and is included as standard with the LevelGuard sensor with the solar panel power option.

If the sensor was purchased with battery power and you want to switch to power from a solar battery, then you should replace the pre-installed battery module with this module, which includes a supercapacitor and a controller for charging it.
